Stops Mould Dead Clear Sealant

1.    EVO-STIK Stops Mould Dead Clear should be applied in warm but well-ventilated conditions. Joint surfaces must be clean, dry, sound and free from dust and other contaminants. If desired, masking tape can be used along the joint edge to help create a neat finish.

2.    Unscrew the nozzle, cut off the dome of the cartridge and screw the nozzle back in place.

3.    Cut off the tapered end of the nozzle at a 45° angle, to a width matching the gap to be sealed.

4.    Insert the cartridge into the cartridge gun and once ready, squeeze the trigger until the sealant appears.

5.    Place the nozzle at the start of the joint and gently squeeze the trigger. Push forward slowly along the joint, ensuring contact is made by the sealant with both sides of the gap. At the end of the run, release the trigger and press the plunger release plate of the gun.

6.    Smooth the sealant with a wet, round ended tool (do not use a wetted finger). Remove any excess with a cloth moistened with white spirit and then remove the masking tape.

Drying time: The sealant skins over quickly (approx. 30-40 minutes) and is fully cured in approx. 1-2 days depending on bead width, temperature and humidity.

How to remove

Uncured sealant

The bulk should be removed carefully using a soft scraper. The remainder can be removed using a cloth just moistened with white spirit. Repeat using another clean cloth moistened with white spirit.

Cured sealant

There is no adequate solvent; carefully cut away excess with a very sharp knife. Do not use solvent to remove product from skin – use soap and water.
