Not only is it specially formulated to resist water, but this external PVA glue conforms to EN 204 D3 woodworking so is perfect for use on timber, plywood and more.
When used as a primer, EVO-STIK Waterproof PVA improves adhesion to porous or difficult surfaces before plastering, rendering or screeding. It seals and strengthens surfaces for increased durability and reduces dusting. Plus, this waterproof PVA is perfect for damp-prone areas in DIY projects or repairs.
Supplied in a range of sizes, this EVO-STIK PVA can easily be brushed or rolled on, offering flexibility for different project needs.
Suitable materials: Bonds a wide range of materials provided one of the surfaces is porous, including timber, plywood, blockboard, chipboard, fibreboard, expanded polystyrene, polyurethane foam, insulating board, brick, concrete, plaster, stone and slate.
Coverage: 6 - 10m² per litre dependent on application thickness.

How to use
Preparation
1. Surfaces must be sound, clean and free from contaminants such as dust, oil, grease and any loose material.
2. Shake the waterproof PVA well before use.
3. The adhesive can be applied by brush, roller, spreader, or from a squeezable plastic bottle.
4. Bonding work must be done when the adhesive is still wet or tacky, but when using as a primer the adhesive must be allowed to dry

To bond most types of wood under dry conditions:
5. Apply undiluted EVO-STIK Waterproof PVA to one surface. Join surfaces immediately and apply weight, or clamp joint for at least 1 hour.

How to remove
- To remove wet PVA: Clean tools and equipment with warm soapy water immediately after use.
- To remove dried PVA: Start by softening it with acetone or a vinegar solution. Gently scrape off the softened glue with a plastic scraper or cloth. Always test on a small area first to avoid damage.

What does PVA stand for?

Can Waterproof PVA be used to seal a concrete ornament in a fish pond?
No. Waterproof PVA is not intended for use as a surface coating. When exposed to water, it can turn hazy white and is therefore not suitable for sealing concrete ornaments in fish ponds.
Can Waterproof PVA be used as a primer before painting?
No. Waterproof PVA is not suitable for use as a primer before painting. For best results, use a primer recommended by the paint manufacturer and appropriate for the surface being painted.
